Things to Consider Before Buying a Baby Sound Machine
Plenty of parents turn to baby sound machines to help soothe their babies. In the womb, sounds from the outside would have been muffled. A soft, continuous sound is similar to the noise a baby would have been used to in the womb. Baby sound machines or sleep soothers replicate these noises which comfort your little one and helps them fall asleep.
Sound choices
Baby noise machines usually feature with a number of sounds. Some options include babbling brooks, white noise or a pulsating noise similar to mum’s heartbeat Each child is unique, which means that each child reacts to different sounds differently. As such, it’s a good idea to get a sleep soother that features several sound options.
Volume controls
Some baby soothers have volume controls that allow you to control the volume to suit different environments and sleep patterns. This can help match the volume of the sleep soother to the background noise in your nursery.
The power options
Baby soothers feature different power options. There are those that use batteries while others come with a cord. A soother that uses batteries may prove more convenient because you can place it anywhere in the room. However, the batteries have a life-span and you will eventually have to replace them.
Presenting the Ewan the Dream Sheep

Features and Benefits
When activated through a button in one of his paws Ewan will glow and produce sounds for up to 20 minutes. One of Ewan’s best features is that he plays actual heartbeat and womb sound combinations. This replicates the light a baby would be exposed to in the womb. We found that this noise was what really settled baby E the most.
Portability
Ewan the Dream Sheep is very portable. Ewan needs three AAA batteries as a power source so you aren’t tied to mains electricity. You use Ewan in a car seat or a stroller. Ewan can go wherever you go. Ewan also has a velcro hook tail. We used the velcro hook to attach Ewan to little E’s crib and stroller when we went out.
Versatility
Interestingly, this baby soother is quite versatile. You can attach a pacifier to keep your baby calmer. It can also be used by toddlers and pre-school kids. Also, Ewan Doesn’t really have an on/off button, just little buttons on its paws, although you can hold them down to turn Ewan off. Others pointed out that the sound and glow only run for twenty minutes which wasn’t always long enough for thier child.
One of the most common negative points is how long the batteries last in Ewan. When Ewan is used heavily some of the reviews claimed the batteries only last a few days to a few weeks. Also, the batteries aren’t the easiest to change due to the design of the container. Investing in a few
